Please see the following communication from Franklin Marshall, our Conmed rep, regarding the upcoming smoke evacuation presentation.
Good afternoon,
I wanted to follow up and ask folks to please RSVP because we are now less than a month out and need to determine how large of a room we need. The CE credits are good for nurses and techs but if you have a surgeon who would like to attend they are welcome to join. Please share with your friends and colleagues. The program should take less than an hour.
For those of you in the AORN Chapter that includes Chambersburg, PA and parts of Maryland I am working on a program specifically for you but I do not know if I can get Brenda again so I urge you to attend this meeting if you are able.
The Pennsylvania Senate is to vote on surgical smoke very soon and PA may become the 20th state to make smoke evacuation mandatory. I thought this would be a great time to have Brenda Ulmer come to my territory and give a presentation on the hazards of surgical smoke. It will be at WellSpan York Hospital on September 9th @ 7PM. NCCT has approved this program for 2 contact hours for nurses and techs.
